Re-finish a metal filing cabinet tutorial

I was lucky enough to be given a metal filing cabinet that was exactly what I wanted.
Four drawers.
A lock.

It's even better with a bit of color.

What until you see what I did with this bad boy.

For $20 I got two cans of metal primer spray paint, a can and a half of green spray paint, and some vinyl adhesive wallpaper from target.

Spray it all up, pop the hardware off the drawers and stick your paper down, and you are good to go!

So cute! I wish I was creative like you! How did you get the vinyl around the metal?! It looks perfect!

I'm a dork, I re-read your post where you said you "popped" the metal off before putting the vinyl on! That answers my question!

p.s. it's so fun to stumble across another BYU grad's blog. Yours is so fun!

Wow! I love it. What a great idea. I have some very ugly file cabinets I have hidden in the basement where they offend my eyes every time I go down the stairs. I'll have to do something about them. :)

This is the best idea you can do whenever you have old 3 drawer filing cabinet at home or at the office. Good job on doing it.
